ABOUT NADA CENTRE FOR MUSIC THERAPY

Nada Centre for Music Therapy is a pioneering, not-to- profit, world-class organization in India, devoted to dissemination of music therapy through its publication, research, education and various other activities since 2004. Its distance learning program has especially attracted the world attention, in recent years, for its design and contents.

In tune with these activities, the Centre proposes now to hold a World Music Therapy Conference (sixth in its series) in India's capital, New Delhi, on 8-9, March, 2014.

ABOUT THE SIXTH WORLD CONFERENCE 2014

Like all the past conferences of the Centre held in various parts of India viz., Chennai, New Delhi, Visakhapatnam and Bengaluru, the Sixth World Conference is also expected to create awareness on the growing popularity of music therapy in the country.

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE VENUE, YWCA OF DELHI

Centrally located near New Delhi's prestigious Rajiv Chowk, (Connaught Place Area), YWCA of Delhi, is situated amidst green and serene surroundings at Ashoka Road, New Delhi 110001. Metro Stations, nearest to the venue are: Rajiv Chowk & Patel Chowk.

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE THEME

Music Therapy - Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow (Papers are invited in all allied areas of this theme, including Yoga, Musicology, Psychology, Neurology, Medicine, Rehabilitation, and the like).

Last Date for Registration for sending Abstract and for Early-bird option: November 30, 2013.

PARTICIPATION FEE / DONATION

I) Early-bird option (for those registered prior to November,

30, 2013) - Rs 4,500 for the Conferee, presenting paper, etc,, and Rs 4,000 for the person accompanying the conferee. (No paper presentation can be made by the accompanying person).

ii) Fee / Donation for all those registered after November, 30, 2013 (whether conferee or accompanying person) - Rs

5,000.

Iii) Conference material tea and refreshments will be provided to all.

GUIDELINES FOR THE PAPER AND / OR SONG

PRESENTERS

All paper presenters need to be registered in advance, clearly specifying the topic of presentation in the Registration Form itself.

Only one paper can be presented by a participant

A paper presenter is usually allotted only ten minutes for a presentation. However this duration can be modified by a few minutes, more or less, subject to the discretion of the chair person.

The paper presenter's abstract should not exceed 250

words, and this should reach not later than November, 30, 2013.

(Abstracts reached after this cut-off date are likely to be excluded from the proposed Souvenir to be released on the First Day of the Conference).

Participants, who perform music, are welcome to present their songs and music - tested by them with their clients. They can, if they so wish, bring with them their musical instruments to the conference venue. The duration of each such song / musical piece should not, in any case, exceed three minutes. A specific request can be made in the Registration Form itself to this effect.
